Chef Monty P was born and raised in the Bay area. He relocated to Texas in 1984 after attending the acclaimed California Culinary Academy where he was the first Afro-American to graduate at the top of his class. During his career, he has held the following positions: Chef du Banquet - Cliff House Restaurant, San Francisco, CA; Executive Chef - Amarillo Country Club, Amarillo, TX; Executive Chef - Radisson Hotel, Amarillo, TX; Chef du Banquet - River Oaks Private Club, Houston, TX; Chef du Banquet - Houston Country Club, Houston, TX.
